It hid in Garruk's pant leg as he planeswalked away from Lorwin/Shadowmoor.

This is pretty damn aggressive for a spider.

I never understood this concept.

So, it's high enough in the air to block creature with flying, but I guess it's too lazy to descend to block any creatures that aren't in the air. Yet, whenever it attacks, it's susceptible to any blocking on ground level.

I'll only ever love Juvenile Gloomwidow.

Well there's a reprint I wasn't expecting. The art is definitely an upgrade, and it's an efficient creature for holding off airborne menaces. I just wish they had reprinted Juvenile Gloomwidow while they were at it.

You know what's funny? This spider can't block itself. It doesn't have flying, and it can only block flying. What the hell Wizards? 4/5 just for making me laugh.

Astounding how a cathedral-sized spider tops out at 3/3.

That art needed updating badly. Lovin' the new look.

A 3/3 with reach for only 3 CMC is pretty good, even with the "drawback".

Sooo, why does it even have the "reach" ability printed?

I get why Cloud Sprite or Rishadan Airship can only block flyers. They're too slow on the ground.

This...makes delightfully little sense.
