This card possesses all the ingredients to make sure nobody will play it in any casual group. ANY!

Haha, Rakalite vs. Runesword, the ultimate badness challenge!
Edit:
@Weretarrasque: Well, at least Rakalite does something on top of coming into play if you spend , Runesword starts doing things with . To compare Runesword with Umezawa's Jitte is not really fair, what would be a Bonesplitter compared to Runesword then?

Which jerk voted more than 0.5 for this piece of junk?
This artifact takes one of the best places in the list of most overcosted Magic cards ever.

Well, Shield of the Ages only prevents damage to you. And yea, this is better than Razor Boomerang because at least you can use it more than once before returning it to your hand. Maybe you can also combo it with Master Transmuter and some artifact that has a good comes-into-play effect? Dude, I don't know.
Still, the worst cards ever are generally agreed to be Sorrow's Path and the cycle of lands like Adventurers' Guildhouse that each gives legends of one color "bands with other legends". All of these are lands with no mana abilities, btw. After that, probably Wood Elemental. I don't think this even makes the list of top ten worst cards.

Eh... I still think it's at least better than Razor Boomerang.

Look at it this way, there has to be god-awful cards like this to make the other ones good.
