Haste wasn't that common back then. Ahead of its time.

Starting second turn, you can ramp mana like crazy with this, using Llanowar Elves to bring out more elves as soon as they come out. By the third turn you should have enough mana to break 'em off something nice, like a fatty trampler they're probably not going to be able to defend this early.

Unless of course they're running the same sort of deck :o

Good for Combo-aggro decks. Not bad at all.

Wasn't expecting this while searching through Chronicles! It's cheap, and has a Sokenzan -esque ability that I really like. It's best to wait on playing it on turn one unless you're going first or have a two-drop waiting to pounce.
