just play with General's Regalia and send all the damage right to one of your creatures. preferably one of your creatures that regenerates. but then again that means paying the cost regerate on top of the cost to redirect the damage. but that would only cost you 4 mana at the least. but if you were going to keep cyclone going past 4 turns anyways then you should have the mana. the only thing im not sure about is would you have to regenerate your creature twice? once for the damage done to it by cyclone itself and again for the damage you redirected to it? and actually can a creature regenerate twice? i dont see why not. regenerating taps a creature but its not an ability that requires you to tap it to use.

Its far from a bad card, pesty effect in green? very exploitable. Just before it starts killing your 4/4s you refuse to pay the cost or something. Its not flexible but may net you huge card advantage against weenie.

Those cards listed aren't comparable to Cyclone since it given green the rare possibility to damage any nonflying creatures as well.
Although the current Oracle is closer to the printed card text, i liked this card more when it used the Errata to work with cumulative upkeep since you could more play around with age counters than with wind counters.
On the other hand keeping the Oracle like that is likely more advisable than removing it from the actual wording...
