I like vertical cycles and as well as having a cool name, the bloodfire lot are no exception. You'll notice each one in the cycle has an increased "area of effect" as they increase in size. The Dwarf, the smallest of the lot, only hits nonflyers, the Kavu here hits all creatures and the Colossus nails all creatures as well as players. Another thing you may not have noticed, however, is that all of their abilities also mirror a pre-existing red spell. The Dwarf makes a Tremor, the Kavu has Pyroclasm and the Colossus, Inferno. Cool stuff.
I'm thinking the Kavu here is the best of the bunch. A pyroclasm effect is solid, especially for one mana, and I think he's just cheap enough to have the right balance in terms of size and ability.

Costly (4 CC). 2 for creature, 2 for the Pyroclasm -like effect.

It's a kavu made entirely from fire, which is made again entirely out of blood

@Kirbster: "Vertical cycles". I've never heard the term before, but I think I like it.
