badass in any zombie deck. scavenge cost is on a better curve than most other creatures with scavenge (korozda monitor)..
@continue: yeah, of course a rare is better than a common. that's what makes it a rare..

Well... it IS a zombie, so there's that.

2.5/5. A 5/5 for 7 and scavenge for the same cost? A bomb in limited but a dud in anything else.

I made a poiint about how you know that a card is bad when the flavour-text talks about how people abuse the creature.
Look at Vastwood Gorger and Zombie Goliath for understanding.

I hadn't considered scavenges uses as a discard outlet and in green. With proper ramping and creatures who enjoy +1/+1 counters (like triskelion) this guy could be considered:
"+5/+5 until end of turn, deal 5 damage divided as you choose among up to 5 targets"
I could be wrong, but that *sounds* playable as a finisher card. Notice that it's mega splashable, might be fun to do tricks like this with Urza lands.

A happy edition to my Volrath the Fallen commander deck. Pay, discard for +7/+7, then hit it with a necro or scavenge for another +7/+7.

At least that is some cool art.
