I use this more often to counter counterspells in mono red than copy my own spells.

@jakeblack1
The copy is immediatedly put on the stack. It does not go on your hand. You copy a spell on the stack, put it on the stack, and Reverberate goes to the graveyard. Oddly enough, the copied version will resolve first, so it is great for countering counterspells like manaleaks.

@CorkBulb: The Thundermaw Hellkite was at the bottom of the stack, and thus Talrand, Sky Summoner's ability triggers before the Rewind goes off, which is before the Hellkite enters the battlefield. Even if he gets a new Drake token, it's tapped and damaged by the Hellkite's ability.

One could argue that Dual Casting is superior for its cost and multiple uses, but the ability to copy any spell on the stack (not just yours) at any instant really makes this card shine. It can mitigate counterspells, even the battlefield after an Increasing Devotion (swing it in your favor if you have Fervor or one of those nice red instants that pumps all your creatures for the turn), or just straight up double-Lightning Bolt your opponent in the face. A very versatile card; 5/5.

Opponent is at 11, you're at two. They have an army of 2/2 Flyers out with Talrand and his invocation. Then this happens:
You: "Tap 5 to play Thundermaw Hellkite"
Opponent: "Haha you fool, Rewind that summa*****. it's over!"
You: "Reverbertate your Rewind, countering your rewind and untapping 4 land. 5 to the face with Thundermaw"
Opponent: Alright, nifty move smart-guy, but you still die next turn."
You: "No. Searing Spear x2"
Opponent: *flips table*

There are so many situations that a pro like me can make good use of this spell.

@Sessy:
Why didn't your opponent block the Hellkite with his "army" of 2/2 flying creatures? Even if they were all tapped he would have gotten one from Talrand from rewind he cast (it doesn't need to resolve to get the token). He only needed a single 2/2 flyer to kill you on the next turn anyway.
As for the card, excellent way to "counter" your opponents instants and sorceries by copying them so you get the effect as well, balancing out to some extent. Or you can copy your own spell for some epic combo, or just a simple Lightning Bolt for that extra damage. Note, A reverberated Time Stretch is gonna flip some tables ;)

if my opponent cast's mind sculpt on me and i play reverberate on mind sculpt, i choose him as my target.
