Is it... is it painted on the shell of a giant beetle? With mushrooms all around it? The Golgari are awesome.

Golgari are way more bamf than the other enemy-guild in black- Orzhov, or the other in green- Simic.
there's just something about Golgari color combinations in both mechanics and flavor that seems to me like one of truest expressions of Magic: The Gathering. The whole...thing.
Izzet, being of course, the other. Wow. No really, WOW. Easily the two best guilds to sick at each other, and despite them both being Enemy Colored Pairs, also makes sense for them to be fighting: one is ultimately Naturalistic, and the other Scientific. Don't think about this stuff too hard or your brain will explode.
And then you'll come back as a zombie.

Big Golgari fan flavor-wise and mechanic-wise. The whole idea of a guild that focuses on Life and Death is pretty cool. Even though the guild has the iconic black selfishness, they manage to still move forward in one direction for the good of nature and the natural order. Plus plant zombies are pretty awesome.
Although I like dredge as a mechanic more than salvage, I fully understand them wanting to change the mechanic to something less "combo-able". Dredge often fed itself and became unstoppable once you had a few cards you could repeatedly pull from the grave. I just wish it didn't require exiling cards from the graveyard, because it weakens Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, as well as Golgari Reanimator decks. Still excited to play Golgari in RtR though.

Is that the back of a petrified Grave-Troll skull?

Not much to say about this one. Part of an obvious cycle, it's got good art and you probably won't run it because there are better ways to fix your mana. But still, it's not like it's bad, per se.
