I had to give it two stars for the artwork alone, don't shoot me. :(

wow - I even collected Homelands when it came out, and never saw this card.
Really - would a 5/5 rare Forestwalking Legend for 7 mana have been SO bad?
They had Nightmare and Shivan Dragon back then to compare to - it really doesn't make sense why they underpowered Homelands SO much back then.

I really wish they'd done an alternate version of this guy in TS block.
Dralnu? Ib Halfheart? Saffi Eriksdotter?! Oh, just sod off then.

He looks sort of like Freddie Mercury.

One of 3 non-green forestwalkers.

Wow, even by old card standards, this sux. Forestwalking for 2 damage... ^^. Art is nice though.

I wonder if this ever saw any play? He strikes me as horribly over-costed but I can at least see that he could at least do something. So not a completely useless piece of cardboard like break open, but still overall you would not play him today.

It's so bad that Keeper of Tresserhorn is better as long as your opponent doesn't have anything bigger than a 5/5 on the table. That pretty much says it all.

To put it simply, there is nothing good about this card. Did Wizards honestly think that people would want cards that sucked this badly? I feel so sorry for all of those poor Magic players who were stuck playing Homelands. So tragic...

Accurate flavor text.... yeesh!
No idea how this pile of drek ended up being printed next to Ishan's Shade. If he cost 6 and had forestwalk all the time for free, he would have at least been of appropriate power for that era. I would have even forgiven a casting cost of 7, which would still have been weak, but black had almost no big creatures back then without drawbacks. But a cost of 7 AND an activation cost that makes it hard for him to be a threat - what were they thinking?!
