Wrong art. This should be the close-up picture.

Honestly, I like this mechanic. It's a great deterrent in multiplayer. I even like the art. The card isn't bad either, relatively speaking. Oh well.

Agreed, it's a good idea in theory but awkward in practice, as soon as someone inevitably forgets about it.

The whole doesn't untap during next untap thing is an awkward mechanic.

They could fix it by making a 'stay tapped' counter, like age counters for cumulative upkeep.

In my playgroup we remember this by turning the creature upside-down: then when you come to untap, upside-down permanents go sideways so the next turn they'll untap as usual. Works pretty well (unless the Minotaur blocks a creature with vigilance which somehow gets tapped later in the turn, but that's a fairly rare occurrence in general).

The close up art that is missing from this, along with the Hurloon Minotaur art, are still my favourites as far as minotaurs are concerned. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I feel like mtg cards today haven't been able to capture the iconic nature of a lot of the older cards. 4/5 for the beautiful (albeit missing) artwork, and still relevant mechanics.

We always used small glass beads to mark those cards that wouldn't untap the next turn. So you just removed the bead from the tapped card during your untap. No way you could have made a mistake. Upside down works also unless you're playing with Kamigawa flippers.
It's not just wrong art, it's that the whole picture of the card is wrong. To see it compare the flavor text on the picture to the one on the Oracle text. To see the correct card go to some card selling site, like magiccardmarket.eu, and check up how the card really looks like.
