The upkeep cost is funny because it won't live long enough for it to be a problem :P

If you played it when you're creatures had haste, this definitely isn't too bad. By itself though, easily blocked and probably dead as fried chicken with the 2 toughness.
The upkeep definitely hurts.

Try groundbreaker
Because, let's face it. Anything with 2 toughness isn't going to stick around till your next turn anyway.

2 toughness definitely limits its usefulness. If I wanted a big green creature with an upkeep cost I'd go for Darba instead -- 4 toughness means it'll probably live long enough for you to actually need to pay the a few times.

This guy did see quite a bit of play back then. A kind of poor man's green Ball Lightning.

This + Concordant Crossroads + Eon Hub. Not the most fantastic combo however, but useful in the right deck if you've got space. If it had flying, or unblockable, it'd be much better. Otherwise, I can only view it as a wall-destroyer or a one turn sacrifice attacker.

Wow! That's terrible! Also, that's either the smallest barn ever or the biggest dude ever.
