I feel like this card was meant to now be used with unleash. If your opponents block, they possibly lose a creature and a life or they take damage to the face. Since creatures with unleash cannot block, you will be taking damage from their creatures however. Lure or madcap skills are obvious choices to use with this card, especially if your opponent has several creatures. With these types of cards (lure and madcap skills) it is usually better to have more than one copy of the card on the battlefield.

@Trbokix: Actually, Trbokix, Rings of Brighthearth only work on activated abilities. This is a triggered ability, so the Rings have no effect.

(Activated abilities are anything that you pay a cost for. They have a ":" in them. Planeswalker abilities are also activated abilities.)
