This + Freed from the Real / Pemmin's Aura + Simic Growth Chamber = Infinite mana. Or if she has threshold active, you don't even need the Simic land, just at least one that can produce blue. I run this combo in EDH to great effect.
And yes, this is definitely strictly better than Ley Druid and Juniper Order Druid. They are both 1/1s, she is a 1/2. She also has the threshold ability for no extra cost.

Combo her with with Lotus Vale and Umbral Mantle to pump her power/toughness to infinity, or get infinite mana with the same combo using Scorched Ruins with the extra mana each time. Other ideas that would work to untap her for infinite mana (and only get better when she gets threshold): Sword of the Paruns, and for extra quickly starting the combo, a Thousand-Year Elixir is nice. As far as getting threshold, Life From the Loam seems like a good option too. I suggest using all that infinite mana for either a Helix Pinnacle or put it into a Staff of Domination or Diviner's Wand to draw your deck and find whatever answers you want.

A great common. Plenty of good combos exist with this card and its Threshold ability is simply amazing.
