Rather than letting something just eat it and saving the mana for something else, you protect them by making them a uselessly tapped piece of shit. It's kind of like watching your creature get hit so hard they're put into a coma. All in all, you paid 6 mana for this spectacle.

What is with the art? It looks like he's on drugs. Which would suite him since he is an alchemist i guess...
This guy is way too expensive for what he does.

Glad they made it a Cleric, but an Alchemist sounds more like a Wizard.

This version has the wrong card picture.

Should cost 2 mana instead of 4, should have no mana requiment when tapping and also be able to prevent damage dealt to players. And then it still wouldn't be that great.

if they got rid of the creature you control qualifier, it would at least be somewhat interesting.

There has to be a way to make Samite Healer weaker... Ah, here we go!

The flavour makes sense, though. You can't just go charging back into battle immediately after you had your ribs mended!

I didn't notice the 4-mana casting cost at first. If it cost 2 (or better yet, 1) it wouldn't be terrible. But four mana?
