Unfortunately, kinky mana acceleration is misplaced in a 2/4 body with a CMC of 4.

Just make sure they don't drop a guttural response whatever you got the mana for.

IMHO no. 2/4 is a nice blocker which you keeo untapped on opponents turn. At the end of the turn you use the ability to power some ability you want to use. Then on your own turn you play Drain Power from a stick and get the mana second time.
