Why does he only have Elf for his creature types? Isn't a Ranger a type of Soldier?

@A3Kitsune: a search for creatures with Ranger in their name turns up many different "class" types: Archer, Druid, Knight, Scout, Soldier, and Warrior. There are also other rangers that, like Elvish Ranger, have nothing more than their "race" type.
