I agree. This is a strictly better card than Fog. In most cases it will serve exactly the same purpose, but it does give you an extra option.

How can you not like Undergrowth if you like Fog? In your RedGreen deck it gives you the extra option to make your (and their) red creatures hit. With all the good hybrid creatures running around it should be no problem to make this a one-sided affair in the right matchup.

Works great in Naya. Your guys are huge, share colors, and this spell is somewhat less color intensive than it could be (with the kicker.) Turns every offensive into lose-lose for the opponent, and if they don't take the bait you get a fog to cover your behind.

Not STRICTLY better than Fog because of the 3 cmc difference, but in many cases it's preferable.

There is no cmc difference; They both cost {g}, that's the point. The 3 extra cost is completely optional.
