I don't think its' as bad as some people make it out to be. I mean, it's a good anti-Crusible of Worlds, but apart from that... Meh.

There really is a good reason to play this card in EDH: players who haven't seen it before will laugh until tears force their way out of their eyes.
The whole rest of the game (hell, the whole rest of the weekend) you'll hear people exclaiming, "Tarv??? TARV???"
Jokes about the utter mediocrity of Storm Crow are old by now. Hardly anyone has ever seen Mudhole. Everyone will get more sheer enjoyment out of this card than any other card they play. Nobody will remember who won the game that day; they'll just remember the asshat who played a @#$%ing Mudhole. And that's what EDH is all about!

its not a bad card, it just ends up being redundant in every game you will ever play simply because you will almost definitely not find a useful application for this card except for possibly a card to cast by floating mana before an Armageddon/Oblitorate
