Actually, in an artifact deck he could work. Of course, Atog or Megatog would work oh-so-much better. But still, exile 2 artifacts for +3/+3 isn't too bad.

3/5 seems about right. He can still hit for a bunch of damage, but the artifact bit is clunky and R/B aren't typically who build around artifacts. Further most Red artifact cards either blow it up for damage or use it in the graveyard for damage/pump; meaning competing abilities.
This is a build around card that doesn't fit into a non-build around deck very well. The grave ability does make him a potential finisher however, so he might be fun to try out in long casual matches.
