This card is best in red burn decks with a lot of Pyroclasm effects. Once you start locking your opponents down by killing their creatures, you can safely start to cast your own to get in for those last point of damage. Might be expensive, but it's a pretty decent win condition - take away their lands, and they wont be much of a threat.

This card can be amazingly effective against some decks in EDH. Generals like Kresh, Teysa or Rhys have to answer it if they want to win. It's even worse for Kiki-Jiki decks, because they have next to no means to deal with it.

Those cards have high mana costs for a reason. Given their purpose, they wouldn't be as effective if they were cheaper.

Had it in a multiplayer deck with Questing Phelddagrif and Grand Melee. Might be ineffective, but fun once it works. :)
