Kirtar is a very cool legend. Avens always appealed to me as a magic player, and this guy bubbles with flavor. Nowadays, they print garbage like Linvala. Yeah, she's amazing. But do we care what she does, who she works for, what she fights for? Not a friggin chance.

Ambition isn't necessarily a black trait. It's also blue, white, red, and green in its own way.

Some players who use this card seem to overlook the fact that his ability doesn't require tapping. I think this is a pretty versatile, useful card, especially in EDH.

In the first two Oddessy Novels, this guy seemed Blacker than the night, despite being in the Order.

I'm bothered by the flavor text. Ambition is a black trait...

All hail Kirtar! The most consistent way in game to handle a hard cast Emrakul -- and for only a 1w activation no less.

Not bad. Just barely skirted standard.

OK declare a block and then use the ability to exile another attacker with the potential reward of feather counters on my Soulcatchers' Aerie. Not bad at all.
