Please, guys... I know this 1/1 isn't great, but he allows you to manipulate the top card of your library, and it's very, very hard to deck yourself with him.

Yes it is when the same price can get you first strike, flying or banding, which all are way better than this ability. If it would be only the card then it might be playable.
