at least it doesn't have to be an untapped land.

Don't whine. Float the forest mana and play Harvest Wurm after you dropped this.

After reading the books and the online summaries/wiki entries, I'm surprised at what the card does. I would have expected it to be more along the lines of all the elemental incarnation cards.

I never quite understood why the lands for blue and red in this cycle produce an extra mana, but this one for green does not. I mean green is the mana acceleration color. This would be a really good card if that were the case. If you're not familiar check out these cards: Balduvian Trading Post and Soldevi Excavations.

If the drawback was not so steep this card might see some play, but sacrificing a land drop is too much for me.

@Plantboy81: The two lands you mention demand the sacrifice of an untapped land, whereas the three other just need a land of a specific type.
It's debatable which method is better. Heart and the two others force you to play something after putting them into play (you float the mana from the Forest before playing Heart) so that you don't just lose the land. Balduvian/Soldevi on the other hand rob you of colored mana production which can hurt. Also, using the extra abilities of Balduvian/Soldevi "costs" more mana since tapping them deprives you of two extra man, not just one.
