It works OK in a mill deck, but one mana more gives you access to a whole world of reanimation cards that use both graveyards.

Because it's only a decent sideboard in a particular kind of deck against a particular kind of deck and hasn't been legal in standard or extended for a long time.
Nice enough as a casual card though, almost always great in any black deck with enough kill spells.
...but maybe 'nice' isn't the right word.

Would love to see this reprinted or something equivalent in future sets. The mana curve seems about right and you could definitly make an effective deck with this + destroy spells. There is surprisingly few cards that let you reanimate opponents creatures.
