Not great, not bad. It got three relevant creature types now (human, cleric and shaman), all of which are used or supported in some way. That's already neat. He can sac himself to buff other creatures, or sac someting else to turn himself into a 3/3, or buff other stuff... Or sac stuff you only keep for one turn anyway (like creatures with unearth, or that you stole or otherwise reanimated for one turn). He can trigger gravepact and morbid effects, sac creatures that would be otherwise stolen or have a pacifism on them, trigger "die" effects, create threshold....
For two mana he is highly versatile.

Nice that it gives a use for extra lands; I'd run this in just about any Limited format if I was black-heavy anyway.
The art's way too busy, though. Some artists never quite understand the implications of the small size their work is going to get shrunk to when they're doing Magic cards.

Personally, I like the art. It reminds me of certain excellent Warhammer illustrations.

Agh. Too much happening in the art.

That isn't the problem about a messy artwork, there are plenty good cards with much interaction and elements you can see clearly.
This artwork just doesn't look plastic, has no notable shadows, the background colors and elements in the foreground are melting together, making it hard to recognize what this artwork is about when just taking a glance at it.

Shouldn't the abilities be the other way around? Sac a swamp should +2+2, as it is more costly than saccing a creature.

Ugly, muddled art. That said, sacrifice Protean Hulk and get all your creatures out of your deck plus a +2/+2 bonus on one of your previously existing creatures.
