Strong, but not fun to play with.
Magic games where these are legal are decided by a coinflip.

Old Fogey is rated higher than this. That just shows how reliable these ratings are.

Tackle74
How do you rate cards? By power? This card and the other four old Moxes are obviously broken so why give them 5/5?
I'd give cards 5/5 which are well balanced and also very funny and usable but not to such a overpowered one like this.

As everyone who has played magic for more than a day knows, this card, its four counterparts and the black lotus were all unbelievably amazing, especially when there was no limit to how many of one card you can have in a deck. Even now, when they are limited to vintage format and only one of each it is a rare deck in vintage that does not use at least one of the moxes and lotus. Every deck can be improved by adding a mox instead of a land, and this inauspicious card is probably one of the most broken pieces of cardboard in existence, and probably better than the other moxes as well.

It's a land that you can play without the land restriction.

I've already played games where Sol Ring and Cloudpost/Glimmerpost have really thrown the balance off from the beginning without any fun or risks being taken. It's very difficult at that point in the game to feel that your opponent isn't just winning because they can afford such outright unbalanced cards.

This is definitely powerful like some have already mentioned. but unlike the other moxen it provides blue mana. Blue is the best user of artifacts according to the color wheel. I know people hate the moxen for their brokenness. But I tend to like Sapphire Mox because it provides blue with ramping which blue seldom gets and its great for ramping Affinity. I don't hate cards for being expensive or over powerful, you just have to realize the power level of each card and say, "I don't have the money to make a deck like that" most players realize the unfairness when building a deck that costs $15 vs $500. the difference in price should indicate just how much more severe one deck is than the other.
