No longer creates Giant Wasps? Oh well, still cool. You whippersnappers probably don't remember this card, do you? This thing was bomb back in the day.

I remember this card and we all enjoyed it. Yeah it was overcosted in its day, and is unplayable when compared to the power-creeped dreck being churned out monthly by the cardboard factory. But it was THE original token generator and had flavor where it lacked power.
Also, notice all the explanatory text? Back then they didn't require you to have encyclopedic knowledge of all the intricate rules as they do now with their terse, robotic lawyer-speak card text (with weirdo italicized reminder text that usually misses the mark widely with regard to clarifying the most confusing aspects of new cards).

Don't forget to make sure to indicate which Wasp tokens are tapped.

@DrJack
Since I didn't play during those old days of Magic, I can't really be so sure about this, but this card looks like it was pretty crappy even for its time. If I wanted a five drop at the time, I'd play something like Serra Angel, Sengir Vampire or Air Elemental. Those cards are a lot better than this.
