Can produce mana on your turn and still block, unlike Vine Trellis or Overgrown Battlement. It shrinks as it does so, but if it helps accelerate you into a Verdant Force while holding off attackers, you probably won't notice.

A wall that produces mana while not tapping itself, which would make it a less effective wall. This card does what it is supposed to do better than any wall since.

5/5 for the mechanics, art, flavour text, and nostalgia.
