@Test-Subject_217601 - there are also other cards that give haste, some recur. so by your logic, none of the abilities are good. however the card's appeal, if it has one, is its versitility. also, you must have meant the first ability, not the last one.

The last ability is the only good one, we have Lightning Bolt(and Shock) for 1-drop burn and Wall-destruction is pointless with the advent of defender.

Well, in a blue red deck that is about changing creature types, this could be fun. While haste and pinging utility creatures can be useful, but in other decks... I think it just might be not powerful enough. Many weak effects don't automatically make a card powerful.

If your deck needs haste for {R}, this is worth considering. Other cards like Reckless Charge or of course Fever Charm offer increased damage or other benefits, but this has the potential to nail mana dorks to slow a ramp deck down or take out pesky Walls or changelings. The choice really boils down to which extra effects you want attached to your haste spell.
