Yes it's terrible, but it has one of the greatest names in Magic history.

I strongly like the art. I appreciate the flavour text.
But the playability... *_*
I dare to say this is one of the least efficient cards in all Magic.
A way to gain infinite life with infinite mana, you say? I see. If you're for real, i'm taking my hat off before you.

Should have read "2: Gain 1 life for each age counter...."

Wow... yep, what can be said here that hasn't been said already? You'd have to be a dedicated deckbuilder who loves a challenge (or more likely a dare) to run these in any kind of deck.
I suppose you could use your Trinket Mage to search one up, and then when your opponents are rolling on the floor laughing at you, you could spit in their drinks without them noticing. Then again, if you've searched up a Juju Bubble with a Trinket Mage, you are probably still on the losing end of that exchange.

It may look bad, but its part of the Legacy Weapon. Looks can be decieving!

Coupled with Prototype Portal it's FREAKIN' AWESOME. I like a little life gain now and again and don't always wanna throw white or black in my deck. Since I bought 6 (SIX) Prototype portals I've been flipping through my 'artifact trash.' Juju Bubble is a gem.....by itself, it sucks. The portal totally embiggins it.

It's a 1 mana artifact that kills itself when you play a card... There has to be a way to break this...

If this card had a lid, I would shut it.
From me.

If you had infinite mana, you'd run Staff of Dominion over this, I'm sure. Or any number of a hundred other cards... after all, why make yourself unkillable with infinite mana when you can kill all of your opponents just as easily?
But yegads, Cumulative upkeep in addition to no spells? This thing just doesn't want to stay alive!

Now I can at least appreciate it as an interesting design experiment, but back when Visions came out, I obviously hated pulling this card. A 2:1 mana:life gain ratio was about right for the times for artifacts (see Fountain of Life), or 1:1 with some restrictions (the lucky charms cycle, Soul Net, Urza's Chalice). With those costs in mind, this card is basically a multi-turn Stream of Life: you can keep pumping mana into this card, without triggers or limit, again and again, so long as you don't stop to spend the mana on something else (at least not a spell). The cumulative upkeep is there to guarantee diminishing returns, so you don't just play this after you've established board dominance, automatically gain 5 life each turn, and have an insurmountable lead by the time you actually have to cast a spell.
It's more like a "long sorcery" than a true, reusable permanent. In conjunction with the r... (see all)
