Prosperity/Cadaverous Bloom was one of the most devastating decks of the time, because City of Solitude made this card, which seems fair because it is symmetrical card drawing, quite unfair. As with a lot of cards which are "fair", in context it really isn't: once the City is down, you are free to draw a ton of cards while your opponent sits idly as you get a flood of mana from cards you've drawn, converting them all to , and unleashing a game-ending Drain Life.
Without a combo, this is also a fine card in mill decks, and also a card that will get you friends in multiplayer games.

I have no idea what the people on the other editions mean by this being an infinite mana loop, but if played in the same turn, it certainly makes Windfall a much scarier ordeal. If Traumatize is the mill deck's Lava Axe, this is its Blaze.
