The 6/2 stats may seem awkward, but a difference in power and toughness is actually advantageous for evolve decks. The high power ensures that other creates will evolve when this is put down and the low toughness allows this guy to evolve himself.

Not really a bomb, but I still won't mind seeing it in my limited pool.

Excellent art and flavor - wouldn't want to run into this in Central Park.
Functionally mediocre - its main purpose is enabling Evolve with that sweet 6 power while remaining evolvable with that dreadful 2 toughness. If you can get it to 7/4 or 8/5, you could have a monster on your hands.

Okay, so normally for Evolve, I've seen creatures that have High toughness as opposed to high Power, but considering this is a turn 5 card that is effectively a 7/3 next turn (how the hell will you NOT play a creature with 3 or more toughness on turn 6 in a Simic deck?) I think it is decent for a common....
Great for a limited play, but I can't wait to Gruesome Spectacle this card when someone plays it, mill them for 6 + cards and still have 2 or 3 mana left over to dick around with~<3
