YES!! Was looking for a way to Mutilate effectively in a Grixis deck, he would die in the process but so worth it. Not to mention how well he works with Crypt Ghast in multicolored decks. /drool
Thanks for the card Wizards!!

how could anybody give this guy less than 4 stars? really? I mean, he's 1/1 for 1 mana, PLUS HE F#CKING FIXES MANA PROBLEMS!!! jeez this guy had a less than 4 star ranking. d#mn kids and their power creep.... what else do they want? 10/10 for 1 mana "when comes into play, you win the game..." d#mn kids..... and their loud stereo.... with their MTV...

Actually, I can potentially see using this to facilitate a Blood Moon multicolor deck in modern. The lands would tap for whatever the heck I wanted, while still being basic, thus turning Blood Moon into a one-sided mana screw. Hmmm...I think I'll pick up a few just in case.

Pretty neat synergy with Crypt Ghast.
If B/U mill somehow becomes a thing, I could imagine using both with Mind Grind.

I think I'm going to utilize this guy with my Arbor Elf horde to try and run a land enchant shenanigans deck.
Added:
I just realized how you can utilize this guy with an Arbor Elf to get unlimited mana during your attack phase utilizing Maze of Ith and the new Illusionist's Bracers if you were inclined to do so in a Vintage/Legacy deck. Arbor Elf's land untapping is not a mana ability, therefore it gets duplicated if he's equipped with with Illusionist's Bracers and Maze of Ith would count as a forest as well as still being Maze of Ith. Attack, untap with Maze, untap Arbor Elf equipped with Bracers, trigger Elf's ability on both Maze of Ith + one other land, rinse and repeat.

@TomTomat: It says that they are that land type, not that they become it, so the effect only lasts while this guy is on the battlefield.
@mdrew68: Yes, lands with a basic land type always have the corresponding mana ability.

Amazing card. As everyone has already said, awesome with Crypt Ghast. But, it also is great with things like Nightmare.
And if you don't happen to have either of those in your hand, if you're short on one kind of basic land, or are running something like Nightveil Specter and your opponents running colors you don't have, you can turn your stuff into Dual lands.

Arbor Elf will be expecting you at the Maze's End. You better show up on time - don't be chilling in the middle of the deck somewhere.
