You just can't stop obsoleting shatter can ya wizards. Not that I mind. Indestructible artifacts are a pain.

That giant looks like some sort of Boros/Orzhov crossover. this is a great answer to Wurmcoil Engine.

Flavor-wise, this card makes no sense. It's a card that shatters an artifact, just like Shatter, Shattering Spree and Shattering Pulse, so why does this exile and the other three don't? The art doesn't even suggest the card is being obliterated out of existence or anything-- some guy just hurled a large rock at an object.

Aside from that, this is a good card.

I find it funny when a card like this gets printed. There's not a lot of artifacts in this block scary enough to use it in standard, but it's pretty much perfect if you're playing oldschool Tinker/Darksteel Colossus decks.

Once upon a time, removing things from the game ("exiling" now, I guess) was generally something other than just destroying them. This way, it could get around the inconsistencies of later bringing things "back from the dead." Swords to Plowshares, for instance, means a creature is drafted into farming or what have you. You couldn't use Raise Dead on a Swords'd creature because, well, it wasn't dead. It was gooone, man. You couldn't reach him/her.

Recently, though... it seems sometimes "exile" just means "make really dead." That guy isn't sending that statue to another dimension or reducing it to a subatomic level. He's just smashing it. In fact, the card is called "shattering blow." How is that any different from shatter?

It's a shame there don't seem to be many artifacts worth exiling in this block.

Deal with indestructible and token makers like Wurmcoil Engine, very nice.

It's frustrating that the only purpose for this to have been hybrid costed is not printed on the card... "or enchantment." please. Eventually they'll give in to the Mono Red players.

..." or enchantment." c'mon!

I guess we're not there yet. I realize the colour-warping effect that would have on Magic, but man would that have been sweet. Still a solid card for sure.

Are there curently any artifacts worth mentioning in T2? Looks a little like a plant for the upcoming block "friends".
