There's plenty of reasons to include artifacts in a limited deck for mana fixing, but I would still only include this in the sideboard.

Yeah, shattering spree, but can that deal with blightsteel? I think not.

They can't permanently leave in Shatter, but they can print strictly better versions in to appease both players and those in limited. That said, red didn't have an exile artifact effect that wasn't Apocalypse style, so this is a good addition.
