It's almost a Searing Spear, but with a lot more downside.

Has some potential uses, but alas, does not synergize with basically anything Simic this time around. I suppose it could be hilarious using Bioshift to turn it into a land with a metric ton of +1/+1 counters on it for next time around, but I can't really see any other uses for it.

would this card work with Sever the Bloodline to remove all the lands with the same name from the battlefield?

Use Cackling Counterpart on this temporary land-creature elemental and then get new permanent colorless 3/3 flying tokens that can tap for mana every turn with your Growing Ranks

I can possibly see this alongside Odric as a 2-drop kill land (Targeting your opponent's land) but that's super conditional, due to the req'd additional 3 attackers. Doesn't really have a place in Simic this time around...

'So, what Creature are you going to pump with Kessig Wolf Run then?'

Best use I can think of is that it blocks and kills the limited bomb, Skyknight Legionnaire. No doubt it has other complicated and wonderful uses in legacy, and it's a flavour-tastic tribute to Gaea's Skyfolk. All round great design, even though it's a terrible card for winning games. It's not all about the winning, folks!

Best use right now seems to be as land destruction with targeted hate or something like pinging death touch. Wonder if this would work with progenitor mimic to get you a free land every turn? It would be valid as a target when p. mimic first resolved but not sure after that. "If this creature isn't a token". May have to still be a creature when the ability triggers.

So if you use this then copy with Progenitor Mimic, is that an extra land each turn?
