If I used Thespian's Stage to copy the land that was affected by this spell, would my Stage become a 3/3 creature?

@NickDay: Nope! For the most part, the only things that carry over to a copy of a permanent are the characteristics given by the card/token-creating ability that created the thing that's copied, unless there's a copy effect applying to that permanent in which case the characteristics given by that copy effect are used instead, including any modifications given by the copy effect itself. (eg. If you cast Evil Twin and copy a Boros Reckoner, then later have a Progenitor Mimic copy it, the Mimic enters the battlefield as Boros Reckoner that can destroy other Reckoners for and tapping, and which makes a copy of itself each upkeep if not a token.) Hydroform would therefore not make a Thespians's Stage that copies its target be a creature.
@taproot: Yup! Something a little odd would happen, for the reason I gave above. If you have the Progenitor Mimic come in... (see all)

I like these in standard for killing an oncoming abyssal specter. I feel like it has more utility than simply running plummet since you can use it to attack, and it can block those non flyers too. Real big shame this doesn't trigger evolve though.... Outside of standard i guess its pretty meh.

I want to use this on an opponent's land, as my daring thief is about to untap. Assuming I have a creature to hand them.
