This thing is kinda cool. If you have enough mana, hard cast one, then Bloodrush another one onto the the first one. Pretty much a turn 8 one swing win condition.
3.5 because it's so damn expensive to bloodrush.

8 mana is a lot.

Man, I would never play him in constructed, but this card did net me a pretty awesome win in draft once. swinging for 17 with 2 creatures. Traitorous act is such a good card. Oh, right, still here. Only casual playable, even then really only in slower multiplayer formats...wayyyy better things to ramp into, really. 2.5

The creature looks like he's struggling to not look at Vraska the Unseen.

It's a 9/9 trampler for eight. Even if it's got two green mana symbols in its cost, it's still above the curve.

He's not a "save my ass" play, he's a beat their ass play. No, not their ass-play. That's just weird. He's a play that beats their ass.

Damn... I really, REALLY want to like him, but I just can't!
He just costs too much. 8 for a 9/9 with trample is practically average for Green now, so by that standard he should be an uncommon, not a rare.
But at the same time, being able to bloodrush him is still costing you 7, which could potentially give you a better payout if you have other bloodrush cards in hand.
Yes, +9/+9 and trample is guaranteed to end your opponent, but... by the time you can cast it, it's either going to be a "save my ass" play or a "win more" play.
