Nice Card. Wonderful actually. Still not enough to win even if you are getting back the Hellrider that Sorin Mortify'd. Tibalt sucks, derp. x)

LoL. Giant Swords are great. ;D

Almost always guarantees a win when you cast it. Awesome card.

Love this card, and I never play Red. My favorite combo so far is to put Rune-Scarred Demon or Lord of the Void into my graveyard with Corpse Connoisseur, then cast this. Get a free tutor and beat face, or beat face and potentially steal your opponent's bomb card.

Overwhelming power in the hands of a mad devil.

Notably; one of the few (only?) reanimations that:
-Grants haste
-Without sacrificing/exiling your creature later
-Gets to still choose any creature in your graveyard

That makes this prime reanimation if you're not running super-beasts like Reanimate or Exhume. In multiplayer this is actually preferable to either of the above! You can still do it T3 too.

T1 - Discard outlet (putrid imp)
T2 - Some creature you like..
T3 - Pitch The Defiler, evoke Shriekmaw, sac shriekmaw on the stack to Burnt Offering, cast this with that mana

You could do something similar with Shallow Grave making it a 2-card "combo", but this is useful all game, so if you don't land a vicious combo like the above, you get to simply cast it later like a normal game. Makes any black or red fatty a 5-mana fat instead; which is awesome.

You can perform the above combo on T... (see all)
