As for the card itself, it's a powerful addition to a red tempo deck, and in this particular deck, both flavorful for Tibalt, and powerful against Sorin's many lifegain Effects.

My god, Scourge was one of the first sets I ever got a booster from. I suddenly feel old.
Also, that second effect reminds me very much of that one scene in the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory with Gene Wilder - "YOU LOSE. YOU GET NOTHING! GOOD DAY SIR!"

When I got this, I did the same thing I did with my three Bitterblossoms. Traded away.
They're awesome, but every time I field cards like this I end up killing myself somehow. EVERY. TIME.
I feel bad when Wizards makes awesome cards like this and some muppet like me goes and blows himself up with one. Still, got a Chromatic Lantern for my troubles.

I kinda prefer Everlasting Torment. Back that up with a couple Curse of the Pierced Heart. Then all you need to do is worry about the creatures they are playing.
Waiting for the day when we get an enchantment- "If a spell or ability would affect all players, you may have it only affect your opponents." Would have to be expensive, but these cards are begging for it. Prob have to be red or white. Possibly OP.

Very scary. When you are already on the back foot due to lots of burns and fast creatures, this card just seals the deal. It keeps the pressure on, but also locks you into your fate. Something like solemn offering will really help you out though.
