REALLY looking forward to playing this! Sure it can't block, but if it did, it would be too much of a pain in the ass to handle. As such it can shave off a fifth of your opponent's total for a decent cost and can KEEP doing it even after a surprise Supreme Verdict!! Favourite card of the set so far methinks.

A good creature for "x fights y" cards. High power let's it take out a lot of critters and you probably *want* it to take a trip through the 'yard (more things for Dreadbridge Chant to work with, more Filth for your enemies to Drown In).

Everybody's talking about how this guy could be tweaked to make him more playable, but honestly I love him as he is.

This guy is not a 4-of in any deck that I can think of. His purpose, as far as I can tell, is for you to run one or two of him so that he gets milled over during your regular strategies. Then after your hand has disappeared (likely fed to a Lotleth Troll somewhere down the line), you can tap out your extra mana and fill your graveyard with more creatures to Scavenge.

Getting a 4/1 creature out of the deal is just a bonus, and I'm totally happy with that. He has just enough power that your opponent will want block him, but he's so reusable that your opponent won't want to trade any of their creatures for him in combat.

Brilliant design, perfectly balanced, perfectly fun.

Its such a freaking cool card, but I just wish we could have gotten just that one more bit of value out of it, and its a big problem that he can't block. Then again, if you slap a Rancor on him...hmm, maybe he doesn't need to block.

The Golgari never run out of threats. They just keep coming back for more.

He dredges himself straight to the battlefield. That's pretty cool.

This guy will be an absolute monster in Limited. He never stays dead, and if you build right, he helps you scavenge other creatures onto him by milling them for you. So much to work with. Might even be playable in other formats, though his cmc might be a wee bit too high. But I'll be damned if that doesn't stop me.

A perfect example of a non-overpowered, fun as hell card.

Line this guy up with a Death Baron, and fling him at the opponent every turn.

Would make for a fun deck with stuff like Reassembling Skeleton. Not super-effective, but definitely fun.
