I think the whole cycle of Gatekeepers is just there to restore your tempo after playing gates. Whether it be netting another creature, gaining life, or drawing a card. I'm trying to figure out if these cards would be fun to play in a flicker deck...

Pretty much better than Amphin Cutthroat.

Easily the best of the cycle because it's everything a blue mage wants: a good blocker and card advantage.
This card in particular makes me think I judged Rhox Meditant a little bit too harshly back in the day.

Hanz_Grobenhoff: Not incorrect, just an uncommon use of "import".

This is the best of the cycle in my opinion.

Is this cards flavor text messed up, import/importance?

While the gatekeeper cycle at first appears cool, in the end it is kind of a letdown. In order to get this card's full effect (Aside from Amulet of Vigor shenanigans) you sacrifice two turns of land drops.
Ehhhh.... It's hard to judge these. I'm sure everyone will just downrate them

Actually performed well at the prerelease. Guy I played had two of these and two guildgates. And it was a pretty good ground blocker for most of the game. 3/5
