This was always my favorite of all the flanking knights. I must not have been alone in this sentiment, as Wizards Timeshifted him. I was happy to see the lancer in print again.

Bring back flanking!

That's really all I ahve to say. It's a mechanic that I'd really love to see again, perhaps with some cards that worked with or against flanking creatures.

Great. A 2/2 Haste creature for 3 is already good, adding Flanking makes him great.

Quite a bit better than Gray Ogre. Flanking is in most cases the same as bushido 1, but probably a tiny bit better since it gets around guys like Deadly Recluse and Darksteel Myr.

Actually flanking affects all blockers. Which makes it similar to having bushido and rampage. Better in the cases you mentioned, worse with fling, doublestrike, etc (don't forget bushido is also good for blocking).
