I don't know about the "no one ever expects it" part. Krosan Grip is one of the few ways to deal with Sensei's Diving Top, it's widely used in sideboards.

What does everyone think: in the current metagame, out of this, Seal of Primordium, and Deglamer, which is the best? My inclination is this because no one ever expects it.
EDIT: Sorry, should've clarified. I meant Modern, where Top is banned, thank goodness.

This card should be in EVERY EDH deck containing Green. If you can't find room for it, you're not looking hard enough.
It is sometimes the only card able to stop infinite combos, or protect yours. Are you about to go crazy with your graveyard shenanigans but the Tormod's Crypt on the board is stopping you? Krosan Grip's got your back.
Is your opponent playing Phage the Untouchable from gen-zone or graveyard using Sundial of the infinite to avoid the loss at a naturalize? Krosan Grip and win. (True story.)
There's a ton of other places and uses for it, but whoever decides not to play this in their green deck is being silly. It's ridiculously cheap and crazy powerful. Buy a play set and you'll never regret it. Win/5

Deals with Batterskull, Jitte, Splinter Twin, the Top and many many other win conditions that are hard to get rid of.
If your various other G/B spells didn't cut it; this is a great sideboard in. Looking at it now, I realize I could've saved those losses to the BSkull had I had this instead of my other sideboard. Live and learn!

Swag_Crow, Indestructible is not an activated ability. Split Second does not affect it.
