SCRYing for lands will help improve chances of this triggering. Crystal Ball, Index, and Mystic Speculation will help you get the most out of this.

This will definitely be an EDH star. The only thing I can think of where you wouldn't want something like this is maybe in a Borborygmos Enraged deck. I'm not certain that it is playable in many other formats though due to its cost and speed of function. There might even be better things in EDH but I really like this because you still get your lands but they never have to enter your hand which I think is the best thing about this.

Also: it doesn't say BASIC. It just says land. It works with shock lands, speed lands, check lands, filter lands, fetch lands, man lands, ALL THE LANDS! So in EDH turning over an Evolving Wilds or Terramorphic Expanse could be kind of nice because you didn't waste you turn drawing or playing that but still get the fixing and you aren't even really out a land drop either.

Ramping is only half of what this card does. The other use is to filter the land draw off the top during your turn, so you can draw that fatty creature, or game ending spell instead.

Consistent ramping potential that should only be used in extremely high curves with an abundance of creatures with 6 cmc or higher.

@majinara I'm not sure where you were going with exploration and fetching land??? Exploration plays on turn one and let's you play an additional land on each of your turns. It is one of the best ramping enchantments in the game. As for this card it will see a lot of love in landfall decks where it will be surrounded by a lot of deck manipulation. This card is very zendikar and at its worst its an oracle of mul daya with no revealing.

Sylvan Library + Oracle of Mul Daya + This =
"Topdecking 3 lands? No problem."

Hmmm, well, if you can stack your library it's ok. If you can't, it's not that good.
Turn 4, you play this (without accel).
Turn 5, in the average, this gives you a land. So far, it's worse than a rampant growth, because it didn't let you choose the land, costs twice as much, and does it's job three turns after rampant growth.
Turn 8, you get your second land. Now it's about as good as exploration, which also fetches two lands. Though exploration lets you choose the lands, and works on turn 4, instead of on turn 5 and 8.
Turn 11, you get your third land.

So... Without library stacking, it's not very good. Or in other words:
- it doesn't get you the lands you need, so it doesn't fix the colors you want to get fixed
- it's very slow
- the more land fetchers you have in your deck, the worse this card gets, because with each land fetcher played, the chance of this doing anything becomes smaller
- it doesn't work well in multiples, because if the top card of your library is a non-land, th... (see all)

ERMAHGERD, Zendikar flavor text, although, the way it works with landfall, makes me ponder if this was in the Zendikar Design file, and the simply couldn't find a spot for it until now.

4.5/5 Stars
