Odd that this is obviously supposed to combo with Shadowborn Apostles, yet it's really not the best demon to pick. It's one that's cheaper than normal, but with a drawback (In fact, it costs more mana to get it out via Apostles)
My demons of choice would probably be Demon of Death's Gate, Griselbrand, Lord of the Void, Prince of Thralls, or Rune-Scarred Demon. Pricy, but all upside once they're on your field.

It's funny, I thought he was worse than he is because they made the stupid Shadowborn Apostle support. Just look at it on its own, and it seems pretty good.

It'd be crazy in a bounce deck using cloudshift or restoration angel or sac himself + undying evil. Seems like he should have been in the innistrad block.

I had a fun Limited game when my opponent had this guy and I Cloned him. For the next few turns we were at a total standstill so we just kept on topdecking creatures and playing them so we could try to not be the first person to have to sacrifice their own Demon.
He's a pretty good card for only five mana, although he won't see any Standard play.
4/5

Support him with dredge ya silly! Stinkweed Imp helps you not only last long enough to cast this guy, but gives you plenty in the grave :)

This is absurd. 5/6 flying with removal for 5? This may act as a finisher in Junk Aristocrats, as your graveyard will already be filled once this hits.

I think they should have printed this as a rare instead of a mythic, simply because it doesn't feel mythic. It's a beefed up necrataal. It's simply not interesting enough to be mythic.
In an average deck, it will be a sorcery speed murder with an attached 5/6 flying wall for one turn. That's... ok. It's not awesome, but good.
In some sort of self-mill deck he is an undercosted beefy flyer with built in removal, which is pretty good.
So, of course I'd play it in limited, and I'd probably play it in some casual self mill deck. But I wouldn't play it in more serious constructed or in Commander/EDH decks.

A solid, cheap demon... not bad wizards. Not bad.
