It's not that Blind Obedience is better, it's that they belong in different decks.
This belongs in an aggro strategy. 2/1 with a great upside? Yeah, we've seen this work before.
However, Blind Obedience is more of a grind-y, control card.

I still wonder why they removed the Lord type yet kept Advisor.

To state the obvious this combos well with any creature based aggro deck. If you want to get a little more creative, then try comboing with Royal Assassin, Gideon Jura, or Sunblast Angel.

This is the best card in all of M14. We've learned from Snapcaster Mage and Dark Confidant that a 2/1 for two with an amazing ability will see plenty of play in constructed. It can fit in plenty of decks that run white, but I think it will be best in Naya Humans.
Oh, you want to Restoration Angel your Thragtusk so that you have a 3/4, 5/3, and 3/3 all ready to block? How about not?

Is it just me, or is 2/1 the least imposing p/t ever? I mean, yeah, it can hurt, but it dies to everything.
It also doesn't make much sense for so many white creatures, especially non-combatants like this to have a higher power than toughness. This is white we're talking about. White should be getting 1/2 for their utility creatures. Not 2/1.

@wolftree: She would be a Noble if that was still a creature type. WotC was asked about why Noble isn't a type, and she was namedroped in the answer (Ask Wizards, November 12, 2013).

The Sovereign may look imposing, but don't worry. It's just David Bowie.

Oh. My. Word. I just got to play with one of these in the prerelease today in a green/white sliver deck. she is FANTASTIC! Do not underestimate this one, she is so so so good on the play in a tempo deck.
