Why on earth would they leave you out of M13 when they were just going to bring you back this year?
What would they gain from killing off the only Core Set Survivor from Alpha days?

I remember back before M12 was spoiled. This guy and Giant Growth were the last two "core survivors", and they made a big deal about axing Giant Growth. Then, next year, this guy got cut from the core set as well, which was a shame to say the least. So I'm glad that they're both back where they belong, at the same time.

I would have preferred Giant Spider to stay, if only as the last of the Mohicans, but now that he's been axed before, I say axe him again. When I first played MtG I exclusively played green and this guy wasn't a contender in the time of Homelands, Ice Age, and Fourth Edition. He certainly isn't worthwhile today.
Give me Sentinel Spider or at least another free point of either power or tougness.

So can we all agree that M13 was a dark and awful time in Magic's life and should be forgotten? All we need to remember is that Giant Spider has always been here and it's here now.

Why in the name of god would they NOT print this in M13....then reprint it in M14? Who made that decision? I feel like Wizards should know that people were actually following the Alpha Core Set Survivor tally...since it was ON THEIR WEBSITE. It was the one card that made it from the early days of Magic, the one standby. Cutting it and killing the "survivor" status for (what we see now) was apparently no reason is just silly. It's like killing a piece of Magic history just to spite the fans. Makes zero sense.
