The best of the M14 slivers, simply because double strike is one of the best abilities in the game.

This thing scares me. There's a reason the old fury sliver was costed at 6 mana, and that's because double strike is fricking insane to be giving to all your creatures.

If slivers become a thing post-M14, this will probably be why. That's not much mana to give them all double strike, and since it's a sliver, it's reasonable that by the time you play this, it'll be out of Shock range thanks to any Predatory Slivers you have out.

Is this card seriously rated this low because of people being butthurt about the new art?
This is one of the most powerful slivers out there, crucial to a sliver deck of any color, and possibly a better/more consistent finisher than Shifting Sliver.
F**king bonkers.
5/5

The card that dictated that Naya Slivers was going to be a real deck.

Obligatory double strike effect #2. And Wizards put it on the second most-powerful creature tribe ever printed. For, as someone else pointed out, at 2 mana less than Fury Sliver. This critter can, and probably will, make slivers a thing in standard.

@Gandlodder
Actually, I think the "you control" effect was merely added for the sake of new players. As this is a core set, having a new person only worry about how to buff their creatures is a lot nicer than finding out they just buffed their opponent's creatures as well. Having been a new player myself, I can totally understand this. But don't worry; I doubt we've seen the last of global effects outside of core sets. :3
As for the card, the design is very competitive and will be appearing in many sliver decks to come... Kinsbaile Cavalier was usually just a 4/2, essentially. But by the time this guy arrives, your hive is already adding more power to him. Add on the fact that he only serves your board position, and the effect is deadly. Fury Sliver will still have a home for singleton and EDH decks, as well as people who prefer to stay pure and true to the old-fashion slivers.
I always feel it's hit or miss with Trevor Claxton'... (see all)

I literally thought this was a joke when it was spoiled. This thing is completely insane.
