Strictly Welkin Tern. Ooh, but it gets boosted by Master of Waves, so I guess that makes it better? I don't know. The art and the rules text kind of don't mesh here. Like someone said, why can't it block ground-bound dudes when it's clearly standing on or near the ground?

In this case the "high flying" flavor stems from its ethereal, vapor aspect. I guess it can *** up a flight pattern, but ground guys charge through it.

Yay, now I can have eight Welkin Terns in one deck! And this also one that can be paid for by Smokebraider!

She can't block ground because she's just water vapor, they go right through her. She blocks flying by soaking them and weighing them down. Think a wet bee, or bird covered in oil.

This combination of abilities is known as "super high flying". You can tell this creature is a super high flyer by the way it's standing on the ground.

I love me a welkin tern, and she gets boosted by the master, so I'm more than okay with her. Hope I pull her and the master during the pre release!

If you are playing blue in Limited and don't have as many of these crammed into your deck as you can, then you're doing something wrong. Even in Standard a 2/1 flyer for two mana may find a place if nothing better is available--though I still prefer the Nimbus Naiad for versatility. It has one defense so clearly you had no intention of using it as a blocker anyhow, so it's 'downside' is generally irreverent. A few Vaporkin and some other flyers and you got yourself a pretty decent aggro deck.
